This Mountain Lion Was Killed west of La Plata on Saturday January 22, 2011.  So much for the Mo. Dept. of Conservation denying that they are in the area!!!!  Definitely not a Bobcat!

It measured right at 80 inches head to tail.  I'm guessing it weighed between 150-180 pounds.

The cat was shot around 2:30 pm and by 6:30 pm it was already in the hands of Mo. Conservation Dept.  I took these pictures around 3:30 pm.
